How do I enrol for a class?
Email, text or phone either Linda or Hilary.
Can I just show up for a class?
You can turn up without contacting us first but please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class is to begin. However it is helpful for us to know in advance if you can to talk to you and check that this is the right class for you.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing, something with elastic around the middle so you can move and breathe freely. We work in bare feet but have socks available for relaxation if you wish.
What should I bring with me?
We have mats, rugs bolsters etc here for your use. However if you have your own mat you are more than welcome to bring it to work on.
Can I bring my water bottle into class and drink during?
No. Come well hydrated and drink lots afterwards. We are building inner heat during class which assists in detoxification. Drinking during class would cool the fire. In addition by stopping to drink water you would loose the flow of the class or sequence and your focus.
Why refrain from eating for at least an hour before class?
In class we twist from side to side, turn upside down ands bend forward and backward. If you have not fully digested your last meal it will make itself known to you in ways that are not comfortable. Plus relaxation will not be complete if your digestive system is working hard.
Do you accept credit or EFTPOS?
No, just cash or cheque. Yoga Centre (Southland) is a small business. Cheques can be made out to us. Alternately you can make an electronic payment on line our National bank account number is 06 0925 0305332 00

Hatha Yoga. But linda and Hilary have trained in many types including Flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Power to name a few! So some elements of all types are bought into classes from time to time.
I am pregnant. Can I still come to class?
Yes, but we would prefer that you come to our specially designed prenatal classes. Here the emphasis is on bonding with your baby and preparing for birth. After 14 weeks is a great time to begin classes as before this time your body may still be adjusting to hormonal changes.
